Community Initiatives Fun (CIF) The CIF are dedicated to helping strengthen the capacity of Saskatchewan's communities in meeting the needs of their residents. The CIF responds to opportunities and priorities in your community. • Community Grant Program This funding supports community-based initiatives that improved the well being of children, youth and families in Saskatchewan. • Vitality Program Small capital project and community pride projects and events! Project involving construction or facility improvements youth leadership or Aboriginal inclusion, and projects that reduce financial or other barriers to community participation. Deadline: April 1 & October 1 Click here for more information Community Rink Affordability Grant The Government of Saskatchewan has officially launched the Community Rink Affordability Grant which will support community rinks which are vital hubs of year-round activity in communities. From now until November 30, communities, non-profits, schools and rink boards can register their rinks for the $2,500 per ice surface grant which can be used to help fund operating costs and minor capital upgrades.
